Novel Sounds

Novel Sounds is a record label established in 2003 based in Hiroshima prefecture.

Our intention is to release “composition works” not “products” – The priority is to pursuit our obligation for cultural works before thinking about the profit.

We mainly handle Japanese artists and have been releasing music constantly. Our musical taste is something that has post-rock, electronica elements but basically, we just sign with the artists that we like in terms of musical sense and quality regardless of the genre.
For example, some artist shows jazz approach. But at the moment, majority of our artists could be classified in the post-rock category.

We just keep on with our activities in the hope to deliver our music towards people with similar tastes.
